Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Another masterful bit of needlework in this exquisite quilt with the massive letter V in the center of a surrounding row of hearts and leaves, Helle. And 42.39 Celsius in my patio today.

Helle, I'm only back for 2 comments in each gallery today (and last night), so I can only do 2 of your many wonderful recent offerings. But you know that's no statement on how wonderful they all are. I guess you could've figured I'd do at least one "letter" painting, because I love this series so much.
This has the feeling of the old Medieval alphabet books, the way you illustrated the V with those heart shapes and the way they pile up around the letter. The way the Medieval calligraphers and painters piled mythic shapes all around a letter. The hearts kind of "dance". They're in gentle motion. And you surround the V in a square of little circles---they're either like the edge of a doily mat, or actual "lights". I mean they could be the lights around a marquee in a theater. It's just delightful, as they set off the V square from the rest of the piece.
Against the blues and reds and olive browns of the V section, you have deep autumnal peach, brown and orange surroundings. With leaves painted like christmas cookies, and lines of white and green scattered among them. Those lines make this look like old decayed wood, with lines formed from age. (I love that.) And you have little decorations like the round brown balls, and dabs of red rouge, to give red to it's "face". And you have the hearts again, on top. THe whole thing feels like a grand holiday cake, or a presentation of cookies and treats for a celebration. (We can see the V in the top hearts too.) You use border and decorative elements with childlike glee, the whole thing dances and laughs. It's wonderful. I love your letter series. I just love it: It's the best. I should really comment on another type of art now, but I'm tempted to comment on your other letter too. Well, we'll see. But this is terrific.
(Helle, I'd fav, but you'd never know i did, and sometimes when I fav it doesn't even show up in MY gallery. I don't GET what they did to this. So I'll "Like" it---but even that, you wouldn't know if I didn't tell you. So know, all your work is fav's: I just don't know how to announce that on the site. Well don't get me started on that, your art is too good to get bogged down in the crazy changes RR made here...)
