And, with this beauty, we have a big horseshoe-looking W floating about in an ocean of text and variously designed and shaped baubles, Helle. You are most talented. Glad it's cool where you are.

WIth such a playful image, the text about Joan of Arc (Jeanne d'Arc) is an almost wild contrast, as are references to Rouen, above. You use text so playfully at times, at other times you use it poetically. It's just another element in your wonderful sense of montage. As you can see, I DIDN'T do another type of image for my "2" today: I did another letter. Sorry! I figured, if I'm gonna do 1 letter, I might as well do both. I'll get to your other work my next time here, promise.

In this piece, the letter is freed from its marquee-box, and set aloft in the air. It's dancing. And the balls---a typical decorative element in your decorative pieces---are bouncing around having a great time, inside the W. Against the brighter hues of the surrounding, you have a deep blue/green interior to the W. With a brown border. I love the intuitive feel of your color choices in these pieces.

Around it, more decorative elements: baubles and stylized flowers and christmas ornaments and "cross sections" from nature---they all fill in whatever blanks you want to fill in. They bob around, in contrasting colors, and having a great time. And you have little circles with circles inside of them, painted very freely, having a good time. And your border is squiggled onto the painting in what appears to be long lines of oil paint that you squeezed out of the tube (!). In a brownish gold hue. And your background has greens and pinks (this is one of several combinations you use with expressiveness), with browns and reds thrown in, all blended and morphing...You even have a horizontal in here---the line from the left to the center: It's like a big 'switch,' which turns the whole thing on and off. Or a baseball bat. Or a diving board. Lol---don't listen to me, it's just a fun change from all the circular detail. With dancing red balls inside with an occasional yellow one for "pop".

Wonderful and playful, another of your spontaneous montages...This letter series is one of the most delightful series I've seen since I've been an artist. Just wonderful. Everyone dances in your works, Helle. This is just a delight.
