Description

Finally! This project is done! Well...... For the most part, anyway. I'll probably be doing modifications and add-ons through the winter. Something like this is never really finished. Thanks for all the wonderful comments - you all really make me feel great! Aside from rebuilding the front porch on our last house, this is the biggest woodworking project I've tackled - and I learned a lot. I made a lot of mistakes, and if I ever do something like this again, i have some definite ideas on how to approach it, and how to make it a lot easier. Apparently I did a decent job of keeping all my screw-ups in places where they're not readily visible! LOL Now, it's time to relax, take a little vacation this week, then get back into creating some artwork and working o the next page in the T.N.A. story next week. I have 2 weeks off from my (gah) job, so maybe I can reconstitute a few of the remaining functional brain cells I have left! Hope you all have an awesome weekend!

WOW! Command room of new, super modern TNA Starship! Ready for Ranpha and the gang! What trips we'll have with them! I just wonder how long your arms are, or if you have a super mobile chair so you can reach all these machines! It almost looks like a render farm for a major motion picture! You've done a super job! I, too, have an old phonograph and vinyl records. In fact, I saw an article in a local paper that vinyl is coming back (nostalgia freaks, but also serious folks. The sound is smoother and nicer than digital sound according to some critics). I also have a stereo with 2 tape recorders. And my first computer (DOS5, doesn't run, a file is corrupted and I can't get it on the Internet. Nor can I get DOS5 on the Internet. Thanks, Microsoft!). The south side looks great! You should see MY kitchen! No place to cook or eat. SIgh. Must try to get it organized. Great idea to bring the drone on vacation. Hope to see some nice aerial photos when you're back! Keep up the good work, and get yourself a good rest! :-)

You need a few more monitors mate. ;) Great stuff. I'm yet to get into drones, but I bet they are a whole heap of fun.

Beautiful job Rod and awesome layout. You utilized your space to the max. And that's quite a collection of insulators.

this is cool work space. I see that some vinyl records are coming back as people now know the sound on them is better. I picked up some of those insulations also. Do not know where they are now? lol

I'm totally oriented in the room, except for that one shot that has the quad copters in it. Driving myself nuts trying to figure it all out! LOL! I see the stairs, the insulator room, the bookshelf dividing the insulators from the Lair, the Lair itself ...

So if I'm standing in front of that narrow build-in bookshelf, is the hallway to your workshop directly to my left? And where's the bathroom door?

  • sigh *

I'll wait 'til we get there, and it will make total sense.

Everything is looking super! That was a lot of work, but totally worth it. :)

Your orientation is right on, Tara! The door to the hallway/workshop is just beyond the little astronaut guy dangling on the left. Looking forward to seeing you and Bill! You got my vote, BTW.... :-D
