Description

Captured back on 2/13/10, early morning, very close to railroad tracks about a mile from home. These palms, along with several others along the very long block, have since been removed, mainly because they left a lot of detritus on the ground and were too expensive to maintain. All that remain are the stumps. Ta.

Cool... I didn't realize that the dried palm fronds created such long "leggings" over the years. Nice composition and image, Harry.

What a shame that they took these down! They aren't quite so hard to maintain if you do it regularly, and the debris left can be headed off by removing it on a yearly basis. They do grow quite fast, don't they? Beautiful shot of these ex-palms that were cut down in their prime!

I am glad you got this lovely shot of the twins, before they removed them, Harry. It is always sad to see trees being removed.
