I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

This looks AWESOME! The computers must like the new layout. I hope they get Ranpha calmed down before she blows a gasket. I also hope you two get better soon.

"worm-ridden piece of filth" indeed !!! It's good to see such viral disparagement without resorting to vulgarity :)
Your new work station area seems to have a resemblance to this ShuttleStar spaceship interior.

just imagine dial up, Rod. i swear, it takes me sometimes over an hour to post a image here, over at the attic about 8 min with my dial up.. the scenes are so well thought out and amazing love the atmospheres with the sky and details on ships computer and operating lights.just truly amazes me on how you come up with the ideas for such a great ongoing series. looks like Ranpha needs a chill pill. hope you can relaxe soon also my friend, you and Jo..enjoy the rest of a always short weekend.

SO much to see and say in this series of images I don't know where to start! Beautiful sunset. Love the interior of the ship's bridge. I admire your ability to vary the girls wardrobes. And you must have a whopping computer for all that clothing and all the figures to render so nicely. Looks like the work on your computer room has really started to pay off!
Is there anything a T.Rex can help the girls with concerning a worm-ridden piece of filth (see https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/a-peeping-tom-7/2645689 ). Is the filth related to "Slickie" in any manner? Something nice to sink one's teeth into? Man, I'm glad to see you back in the swing of things! And, master of suspense! I CAN'T wait! Keep 'em comin'! :-)

I hope every thing will find a balance and Peace will guide the Planets! oh sorry I got carried away that's "The Age of Aquarius"

You sure know where to put a page break! LOL! I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I look forward to a new page, but as soon as you post it and I've read it, it's over, and I have to wait again! It's pretty diabolical, actually. :P Good stuff! :)

Awesome and informative page. I confess I don't remember the history of Ranpha and that other character. Maybe you can send me a link to something explanatory. Funny reference to Dan's side story. Superb work and attention to detail, every item has its place.

while I've seen a number of your 3D pieces, I've only read some sections of your ongoing comic strip. Which means that I'm coming in, in the middle of things. I should go back to the beginning, maybe I will. But ok, so right now I'll be commenting on the feel, visuals, and the sense of suspense, etc, from one snippet.
First, each frame is packed with visuals---esp inside the ship---and yet they feel complete and inviting. I think that comes from having flown---you know the intimate comfort of these spaces. Because the outsider looks in and feels "cloistered!" But you feel at home and relaxed, and it shows. Second, you let the equipment give space between the characters---1st and 3d frame---which anchors these crammed snapshots, gives them space. And the boards and all their windows are beautiful, visually. Wonderful details. For example, in frame 2, you have two photo-enhancements, which look like graphic representations...either that or they're shots of a blueprint in a desert. While other windows show lots of visualized data, wonderful colors, numerical readings, and a tele-conference. I assume angling visuals and print is a tedious task, I don't know if it's all done with one press of a button. Looks like painstaking work. Yet, you've definitely retained the poetry of technology! Third, each character is securely ensconced in their own world---one feels that in these cockpit frames. So that, as we look across the frames, we see there are separate 'universes' in each character's cubby hole. I'm saying this because it's not easy to do that. (I've done some traditional cartooning, and I've never mastered frames or strips. And I was working solely with pen and ink.)
Also, the captions have a good readable font, they're positioned without interfering with the visuals, and you made them semi transparent, which makes them even less of an intrusion. I don't know much about digital comics, but these seem to be fine choices.
That cockpit is beautiful in your hands. It really is. And I can see you know about cockpits. The detail is scintillating, I'd love to go in there and explore. Your trim---the blue lines around the chairs, etc---is luminous, setting the objects off from the darkness of the room. The same is accomplished by all the lights. (Otherwise, a cockpit could be a very dark place, illustration-wise.) And finally, the room in the last 2 frames is filled with fascinating detail, incl a contemporary printer, lots of fascinating monitor visuals, a pic that I swear is Betty Boop on a motorcycle, and fine angles on tables, floor lines, celling lines, etc. (Don't worry, I won't go into all this detail from now on---this is my first foray into studying this ongoing strip. And I'm struck by all the attention to detail. I look at this and think: Ok, this took 6 months. And it's just one installment. I'm reeeealllly glad I'm not the one making these...)
As for the story---well, I came in, in the middle of the 3d act, so I can't say too much about the particulars. But I know, right off, that they're confronting a menace, and they're gonna be figuring out how to deal with it in the future. I feel a story unfolding, and tension, and the promise of something to come. That means your storytelling is sharp and immediate. (And btw, I love that 3 piece desk in the last two frames. Tell me where I can get one. Maybe those ladies'll sell me theirs.) Lots of fine attention to details in clothing and hair, etc. And fine lighting. Which brings me to: If everyone of these models have to be posed individually, and lighted, etc etc, it must take forever. I don't do 3D, but I assume this would be a huge task. For example, as you I'm sure know, earlier animation cartoonists did full frame animation; but after a while they used templates that they placed into the frames, to save gobs of time and effort. (I think Miyazaki---whose work I adore---does lots of full frame work, more than not, and I know there are others.) I wonder if each of your frames is done character by character, lighting by lighting, etc. It seems huge. In any case, the lighting is dramatic, and the clarity of each person is sharp. Terrific work, Rod. I'll come back for earlier installments soon. Kudos for such a huge and scintillating project.

Fabulous page Rod! seems that Ranpha is set to eviscerate this creep. I've got some great knives to lend her for the task. hope you both get better
