beautiful varmint and superb detail

Cute squirrel, it has captured a lot of booty. They often hide the nuts and then they do not find them again. An outstanding shot!

LOL at this shot of Mrs Squirrel caught with the goods in her mouth. Sorry, rodent, pecan shells are not to be swallowed whole. You can choke to death on that thing unless its cracked open and eaten piece meal. Nice capture, Maria.

well I wanted to give 'equal time' to some of your other animal shots, so I came here...In zoom, this is so classic---I don't know how you do this, you must have an extremely attuned eye, acute even; you instinctively know the 'moments' with animals, where to stand, how to zoom (that is, when you do zoom), what settings to use...something that comes with long experience and an expert inner eye. I realize you probably get several shots of each animal, but to get even one as good as this takes great perception. intuition and patience. The detail is very sweet, as is his wonderful orange undercoating. And his expression is uncanny, it's remarkable that you can catch animals so exquisitely and naturally, while in the midst of their daily activities. An exquisite shot..what an eye you have!
