your surrealism at its most vivid, bold, mind bending and suggestive. These two conglomerate creatures are wonderfully suggestive of humans; only they've been pulled, twisted and distorted like taffy. They look like at least 2 humans, each, embracing...and then something went wrong, there was a warp of some kind, and they kind of got melded into each other (probably crying, "hey---that piece is mine, no---this is yours---waita minute---") (followed by, "screw it: we'll sort it out later..."). And the result is these two strange flesh creatures who look like rock formations from the American SW which were carved into ceremonial masks and then displayed in a museum against a stark black background. (Did I just destroy your piece, lol? I wasn't trying to.) It's beautiful, and brilliant; and the suggestions of people are strong enough to make these human; while they're amorphous enough to be found-objects that just 'happen' to have human forms in them. Perfect against all that black; and those reddish orange-beige hues are to die for. Terrific, Mandi.
