Adorable and a superb photo! My brother's first wife used to breed these for pets. I don't really agree with that.

They are so endearing; on my only visit to Mt. Ranier there was one that ran up on my lap when we stopped for a snack break and begged for food! Super shot!

A cute fellow and a cracking shot. I had to check my facts to make sure I had the correct identification but what you have here is a ground squirrel. The difference between it and a chipmunk is found in the markings which go all the way to the nose on the chipmunk. http://www.volcanolands.com/how-to-tell-the-difference-between-a-chipmunk-and-a-ground-squirrel/
