An aircraft that was probably as good as the P51 Mustang, but it cost $40,000.00 to produce. It flew just as fast, could absorb more battle damage, and it protected its pilot better. However, the Mustang was less expensive at $25,000.00. When you're talking WWII numbers of production, that's real money.
