Description
A couple of weeks ago I posted a shot of a "Least Sandpiper" explaining that it is the smallest of all world sandpipers.
This shot, taken at the same time, shows a flock of them feeding in the shallows among newly emerging grass.
This better illustrates their size showing that they are barely larger than sparrows.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

For their size you have captured them well and I think they are lovely little birds.

Very to see that group of birds

A whole flock? Wow, and I thought I was doing good with just a pair! This is wonderful, what a great capture you got! OK, just to rub your nose in it, there was another pileated woodpecker at my feeder just now, a different one; dark feathers were very black and red topknot almost fluorescent, I think he was in breeding plumage. So there!

LOL, Denise.... I'd gladly give you the whole flock for just one sight of a Pileated! :D

What's this? The normally nonconfrontational MrsRatbag so vindictive in her comment? Unheard of. Whatever brought this on? Otherwise, a nice shot of the wee sandpipers, Maria, getting their tiny feet wet among the shallows.
