Dang.... You are the undisputed driving champion here, Richard! I drive for 8 hours, and I'm ready to sleep for three days.....

A beautiful photo! I don't think many folks realize how beautiful most of Arkansas is. The drive up that 'mountain' in the middle of Hot Springs is definitely a 'don't miss.'

as Rod says, I guess I don't realize how beautiful Arkansas is. I'm glad he's been able to see it (maybe more than once). I was there years back...your shots of it have been beautiful. Here, the water is nearly still...it has ever-so-slight ripples, but it's like glass, mostly. The reflections are like oil painting, whereas the houses and piers, etc are so sharp and delicate by comparison. And all those quilted trees up there, like big tufts of colored wool? They're like a huge lush pillow, with beautiful detail. And the shot opens up into sheer water on the bottom, with spindly branches and a piece of a boat...Beautiful, moody and serene. Wonderful work.

Wow what a gorgeous rest stop !

The view in the background, the water and reflections are amazing.

Happy to hear you made it home safe and sound after such a long trip !

No light, no travelling for us any longer, just too hard on the eyes.

Not to mention all the pee breaks that go along with the drive. LOL.
