the weird almost underwater world of reflections...

Fab! I shall be thrilled if it becomes fashionable to look fit and happy while I'm still above ground. Even mannequins look sulky and starved. Love the perky kiddy on the crossing.

Richly coloured shapes, almost stylized...I love that the reflection looks more real than reality in your city vision; I tend to avoid the really posh parts of town here, it's too scary. I expect to see depositories next to the doors so that people can just unload their wallets into pneumatic tubes without having to actually enter the sanctums of the keepers. Why bother carting things home only to have to get rid of them and get more next season? Save the time and effort and just give them the money.

Marvelous interpretation of a moment of spirit of town life. The red color of mannequin,'s reflection give a touch of surreal to this image !!

It took me a while to reflect on this cool urban image, and can now claim that the sharp clarity, vivid contrasts of light and dark, and muted red color make this a photograph of epic Chicago proportions. Marvelous capture, Mark. And, are those beauties at the right of the pic for real, or merely clothing models behind store window glass?

I love this kind of stuff - you have to actually stop and look at the photo to see which is the real and which is the reflection. So much fun for the eyes!
Hopefully the devil didn't show up.... I understand he wears Prada... :-P
LOL @ MrsRatbag..... so true..

Fantastic! I, too, like the more-real-than-real-ness of the reflection, and the unreality of the store dummies. This reminds me of the day you and Marilyn and I wandered around the Gold Coast and walked the Magnificent Mile. What a truly odd and foreign place! Totally outside my reality. However, it does make for some really fine reflection photography, and this is excellent!
