Description
After a very busy day we were finally delivered to our hotel. The Melia Cohiba is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It is a partnership between the Cuban government and the Spanish hotel chain Melia. The partnership is split 51%-49%. I'll let you figure out which partner has the 51%. This is the view from my room overlooking the Malecón which runs along the seawall protecting Havana.
Somewhere, out there, is Miami.

I love the sky, and the photo is excellent, but I find this sort of building extremely depressing, can't help it.

lol, poor andrea, she has to see all these shots of highrises which, for her, are like being stalked by huge stone monoliths...but she got the picture, as did Denise and your other commenters. In zoom we really see the gentle pinks and other subtle hues. It's quite an array. And the view---from the dominating facade on the right to the open sea on the left---really pans out for us, revealing not only the details of the city below, but those magnificent clouds. I assume this is early or late day. Either that or your windows are tinted. But either way, the light is beautiful. Beautiful shot, Mark. Dark and yet very delicate.

Great pictures of Cuba! Did you take a tour that started in the USA or in Cuba?

I flew to Havana from Miami with a U.S. based tour group.
