Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

They've gone past their sell-by date by the looks of this, LOL! Love this postwork!

Don't tell me, zombie oranges? Excellent post work and terrific textures and colors.

if adam and eve had this fruit, they'd both have told god, "nice try, but time to go back to the drawing board!" ("and avoid photoshop while you're there...") (you think the universe was created with Photoshop filters?) A real andrea treatment, only in this case it turned these fruits into severely decayed mean spirited billiard balls! Love the deep reds and crimsons, they give these real modeling depth. And your signature colonies and topographical shorelines are here, along with your microorganism gatherings. Well I was never a big citrus fan, but now I won't be even if I want to be, lol...wonderful intense work on these. The pic has real depth, like these go on deeply beyond the surface. I love it.

Creative digifiddle. :)

We've been working on a bowl of beautiful satsumas, and this makes me want to run in the next room and get one. LOL! :) Tasty things. I like the contrast in your post work. The darks area bit forbidding, but those highlights make these seem alight with juicy good flavor!

Awesome post work, looks like they have expired well past the "Best Before Date".
We have already gone through two boxes of Mandarin Oranges----- oh so sweet and delicious.
