Description

no, not in my basement: in my buried files... I have no idea what this was, or if I did it for someone... I call him "Costandinos". (He's Greek.) And one last thing: I saw the following tutorial on RR's homepage: Using the MeshLight Snoot. Whaaaaaaa????? I'm sure that means something to MeshLight people; but to me? I haven't a clue! (I don't even own a snoot. This is a snoot-free home...) (MeshLight 'Snoot'? Really???) Have a fine day! Mark (it's fuller zoomed) -----------------------------------------

LOL! I think I can puzzle out the snoot bit, it's a method of restricting the light on a subject, as I recall; "mesh light" sounds like it's probably light coming through a net, which would possibly put some geometrical lines on the subject, and that could be an interesting effect. I agree the word "snoot" is weird, and makes me think of snooty, although how a disdainful attitude could affect the light I don't know. (Maybe the light feels like it's too good for the subject and so it glances off of it and refuses to light it?) Anyway, that speculation aside, I love this piece, all three iterations of it. The colours, the movement in the heart of it, the unfolding of the various moods...marvelous!

Sometimes I think you've had a snoot full before you create these images. This is quite psychedelic. I see a crescent moon and either a star or possibly a dragonfly. Or maybe a cosmic egg with an embryo inside. Or something. I love the colors and the design. This would make a great wall hanging.

At least you didn't find something down there more sinister and grisly...like a SNOOT...LOL

Neat variations on your find and I've been using Poser for quite a while now and I don't even know exactly what a snoot is either ?

I think it may be the wire frame representation of their 'Mesh Light'...???

~Cheers~

Oh, this is easy. It's a representation of a person falling into some kind of interdimensional time portal, or, even stretching it a bit - a black hole, in this case a most colorful triptych of one. Great variety of color strata in this superb scifi design, Mark. And, according to my dictionary, in photography, a snoot is a tube or similar object that fits over a studio light or portable flash and allows the photographer to control the direction and radius of the light beam. These may be conical, cylindrical, or rectangular in shape. Snoots can isolate a subject when using a flash. They help by stopping "light spill", or when lighting falls in a larger footprint than intended. A snoot is also an informal term for a nose.

I thought maybe you had gone down to do the laundry and found some sort of bug. And the bug found a fractal. Then somebody turned off the lights, leaving only a backlit sky and a front-lit bug. Well, whatever it originally was, the result is lovely!

obviously it's a dragonfly at a disco party! woo-hoo.. do the Hustle! lol! :) I don't know what a snoot is, but I know what a knook is (a crochet hook used for knitting -instead of using knitting needles-) ... you're welcome and thanks for the fun image and comments!

Wow!!! All three variations are just beautiful!!! These are something you could hang on a wall or in a gallery!!! I love how all those who posted a comment, describe a different idea of what it is and I like the disco dragonfly!!! I think it is a woman's t-shirt with a bling'd out dragonfly and then fractalized!!! Either way this is Awesome!!!!
