Description

Rocko the Roadrunner isn't quite full grown yet - he looks quite different that the adults I have seen in the past. I had no idea that their underbellies were so delightfully fluffy! Their feather details continue to amaze me. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

oh, in zoom this is wonderful. You caught such a whooshing coat of feathers---it's like an etching down there. And he's got a total young face, and all that light-dark contrast. Wonderful capture, Maria. It is so nice to be able to get up and come to shots like these...this is a real 'wake up' shot, it's bursting and delightful. And a must in zoom---that front 'coat' is like a lavish feather duster. Beautiful.

I love road runners. We don't know this bird in Europe apart in a silly but funny cartoon named "Bip bip et le Coyotte". The first time I've heard of them, it was during my first travel in Texas. Great capture with nice sharp details !
