oh yeah, zoom's the thing. (Or as a friend's daughter says, "it's the bomb, dad!") And, with andrea, less really is more; and with richard, great macro! (Well I've run out of commenters to quote.) We had an artist here, november22, who did deep studies of leaves, studying their inner structures, putting them through myriad printing processes, etc. This image is a big aerial view of nature's own metropolises, wonderful main roads, small roads, properties, large open fields, and so on. And your way with colors coaxes out big contrasts as well as vivid reds and yellows. Beautiful work. There is definitely a link between this and the architectural shots from Prague, in that you coax-out patterns in both; aesthetically, they're kin. Beautiful piece, and, again, a really fine crop. (The length compared to the height, it suits your image perfectly.)
