For Ute (UteBigSmile: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/?uid=372894)
Some months back, when dear Lars passed away (LBJ2), Ute made an image for me which was very caring and touching. It showed a friend in grief over loss. I've wanted to thank her publicly, but I hadn't done dedis for a while. But now that I'm doing them again, I can finally thank her publicly. (The image is here: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/all-that-remains-are-memories-for-anahata-c-/2626260/)
Besides being touched by Ute's image, I had the delight of discovering her gallery. It's been a real joy. She does all kinds of Mixed Medium, Daz, etc, and she makes these wonderfully detailed scenes, with so much delight and play, and wonderful compositions...it's like being in a museum of set-pieces and scenarios from all over the world. She's done historical and current; and I've loved her pieces on music. Like her other fans, her gallery's a big visual dance for me. She got A.O.M., which she deserved, and I was so happy to have discovered her through Lars...
Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, Ute! ... And this image?
I can't do model work: So I used a shot of my favorite Chicago tree---my "mythic" tree (on the Lake): Then I turned it upside down, and put the skyline over it. It's my homage to your wonderful montages, in my own way...Thank you for your kindness, and for bringing so much joy to us. A wonderful season with big hugs and lots of inspiration to you, Mark

The tree is perfect, flipped, like a reflection in the lake. Beautifully done, and a wonderful dedication.

This is really lovely, Mark; in a way it reminds me of a screen print design, like a 1960s concert poster...it's amazing what you do with images!

Thanks for reminding me of Lars. I read about him in June while I was traveling but never read your comments until now. As Lars said in the title of one of his works 'The Good Die Young'. It really is so unfair. This is a beautiful dedication to Ute's kindness. You really are good at this.

A great dedication, and eye popping work, which reminds me too of screen printing, which was my second subject at art school.

Oh my, I'm really seeing red over these two images, beautifully abstracted in your own particular way, and soulfully dedicated to your friend, UteBigSmile, who doesn't mind making her presence known in a big way.

Very tricky, very creative and kinda messing with my head, especially the bottom one...a bloody Chicago, it's a bit ominous and a hark back to the days of the gangster ! Actually the top one has me stumped as the sun seems to be in front of the tree, guess the camera exposure tripped out... ?
Nice dedication & ~Cheers~
