Very nice capture and postwork. A Civil War hero, maybe U.S. Grant?
anahata.c
very perceptive! It's U.S. Grant, in Lincoln Park, Chicago.

Ah, the classic 19th century man on horseback. I'm guessing Grant. Super image made almost super realistic by your post work.

even with the clouding sky you still got great details and the masonry/statue are beautiful

Say now, I remember this one - a memorial to either Ulysses S Grant or Robert E Lee, sitting atop their steed atop a structure not of my knowledge. What is the purpose of that building/wall? Other than the foliage, the scene is virtually kaleidoscopic without being kaleidoscopic. Nice muted colors, contrast and texture in this winter reprise, Mark.

OK, now I REALLY love the effects you wrought on this one; it speaks to the little corners of my soul! Stunning work, Mark!!!

cool post-work! I like the symmetry of this scene; it balances in my mind so wonderfully that it seems almost too perfect and then my eye gets to the horse and he and his rider are not symmetrical and then the image does become perfect. the darker rider sits on top of the perfect photo. (sorry I'm rambling I just want to say how much this image touches me) well done!!!
