Description

Captured back on 4/25/10, early am, close to 1.25 miles from my hackneyed hovel. I stood right under this group as they squeezed themselves together tighter and tighter, each politely maneuvering about for a comfortable spot. And, in gratitude, they were thoughtful enough not to release a shower of defecation upon me in the process. Going back through my copious files last night, I didn't realize I had amassed a ton of pigeon pics over the years. Ta.

lol, after reading the comments on the first of these, yesterday, I realized I hadn't even thought about the defecation problem: Yes, it's a problem alright. They probably 'held it in' because you were taking their picture---and this is a beaut. Love the 3 tilts (2 lines, one pole). Love the two lone pigeons on those spikes. (See the one on the right? He's balancing on one foot! Nervy!!!) ("Ma? Look at me!") And the rest are all huddled together, as you say, under a perfect sky, with that "High Voltage" banner sticking its nose into everyone's business...This is terrific, Harry. Street shooting with pigeons. (Is that anything like Dances with Wolves?) I love it.

What a fun shot, Harry... I like the one with one foot up in the air. Great capture.

And of course why wouldn't you amass a ton of pigeon shots? They always make such wonderful patterns when they sit around, lines of repetition and fluffy exclamation points...another great capture here, Harry!

Wonderful catch. Good to hear they let you capture them huddled, and then leave without being soiled.
