Description
Drove around my little town yesterday afternoon when I was running errands and saw -NO- autumn color at all, just subdued dirty colors or trees losing their leaves with hardly any color change at all.
The only tree I could find with a touch of autumn color happens to be right across the alley from me. So at least I have some color outside my back door. Very bland autumn this year.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

sweet shot, Maria. I'm told that the poor fall showing in several parts of the nation is due to the crazy temps and other weather changes. Whatever it is, you caught a perfect 'fan' of this tree, the upper leaves fanning out and showing their orange and yellow hues. Like a closeup of someone's hairdo, you gave us a big arched top of this tree. Very sweet hues, and lots of fine textures too. I'm glad you got to see this, this fall---ours was actually beautiful, just short lived. (And yes, we have snow now.) Beautiful sky as a backdrop, too.

Very nice capture Maria. We also have snow. However, it is more slush than snow.

It took a long time coming this year and was very disjointed, but at the end it did go quite bright for a day or two before all falling off. This is lovely!

Fantastic autumn colors....

What Mark said. In fact, the autumn in Chicago is in deep contrast to what you have where you are.
