Description

One of the elite guards for Queen Zlata the Gentle has been asked to check out a display that seems to converge, and is located at the FVMOMA. the results are interesting. As you all know, I love playing with reflections and refractions. In this particular case, it's all reflections So! how many planes did I create to get this scene? the number will surprise you! thanks for the comments and faves you all rock

Fascinating image! You have either a LOT of planes or very few that do a LOT of reflecting. Whatever the case it is awesome.

I'm guessing 22. There's 11 shadows in view, so it's twice that. Even if you're working with less you must have some computer rig to play with these!

I don't know. Maybe 22 or eleventy-leven? All the planes and lights and shadows are rather impressive.

how many planes did you create in this piece? My incredibly articulate answer: A lot. (How’s that for specificity.) But you have at least 16 in the periphery, 15 in the center, and others by reflection...a giddy fun image, with all kinds of permutations and different degrees of “corporeal” reality---some have bodies, some have shadow, and even the shadows are varied. And I really like the parts where the plane shoots the reflection behind another plane, and we only see part of the body/reflection (like Staci's falling behind a wall!). A hall of mirrors type of image, and very well done. (I like the hues too---a restful olive-gray, purplish blues, the whites, and the bold hues on Staci...with a glow coming out of the center...) Fun and very well done, Mike.

I don't think you used any planes - it's a trick question. You created this using 2 low-poly primitive spheres!

Well, right now my brain is the constancy of soggy oatmeal, so I'm not even going to hazard a guess.... I'll just say how cool the image is, and how much fun Staci seems to be having while checking things out.

A fun render, Mike!

the number of reflections are infinite when reflecting another reflection. I already know the answer, but I would have been lost guessing
