My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
Â
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!Â

Very beautiful and unique parting gift for your friend and mentor.

Sooo....were might I find Philippe's gallery? This looks like a 1938-1939 Ford pick-up truck captured in your signature style. BTW - In case there is any doubt about what I mean - fabulous light and detail and usually something no one else has done.

A perfect parting gift for Philippe. Now you point it out I see of course the connections! I too am sad to see him leave, but I understand why. His going makes me wonder how many will be left.
I love the photo, especially the composition. SO you!

I just left Philippe an appreciation...I do see the connection between your and his photography, and how his work helped you find your deep 'voice'. (Your deep eye.) This is a typically penetrating Tara piece, and perfect for a bow of gratitude to a fellow great artist. Though this is so heavily excerpted, it feels totally natural, as all your excerpts do...to where it's not an excerpt. It feels like a shot of a couple. The tall grill is great balance to the single headlight. and the two make a wonderful couple. As for the decay, you presented it vividly but also somehow gently. (Some decay shots shout, whereas this talks in a normal, conversational tone.) I like even how you cut off the top of the grill, it feels natural. This 'couple' didn't put on airs for you, they just continued walking and talking to each other...Beautiful work, and I assume you're home now, and hope your settling-in is smooth and peaceful. Welcome home once more, you two. Enjoy your stay after so much (and such rich) travel...

A fine farewell image and I feel the loss every time I visit this site... breaks my heart to see so many leaving here. Sigh.

So another artist has had enough of Rendo's continuing stupidity? Sad... Very sad. I wonder if they'll ever get the message? But they "appreciate every one of us...." so they say.
This is a wonderful shot, Tara, and a beautiful going-away gift for him.

Another of your wonderful shot of just a piece of something. These old trucks have so much great detail and you caught that perfectly!! Sorry to know Phillipe is leaving.

Rust is an enemy if you're a car owner, but we photographers find a way to make appealing (a-peeling?) art out of it, as this photo proves...

I believe, you were not the only one, who got inspired by Phillips photographs. How on earth did I miss his Gallery? I regret that now. I sincerely hope he wont delete his gallery. But I am glad we have some of his inspiration in YOUR gallery, Tara. I love your beautiful rusty Ford nose here :-)
