Description

We visited Bill's daughters in Kansas on the way to Texas, and of course I took pictures of the grandkids. :) These are the twins, Xander and Liam, at age seven. You've seen them before ... I post pictures of them every year. They're both little computer geeks. When we go to their house we have to password protect our phones and computers or they'll hack us and put new "themes" on our stuff. (Grandma is no fun ... I turned them down.) Xander explained to me (very patiently) that I could have unique photographs on my desktop if I would only fall in line with his agenda. I explained to him (very patiently) that I'm a photographer and have unique photographs on my desktop all the time. When he nods and walks away it doesn't mean he's given up, it means he's going off to think of new ways to convince you that what he wants to do is going to revolutionize your life. I'm sure he's working up a Power Point presentation for next year. Liam doesn't care so much if I have "themes." He knows how to do all that stuff too, but once he has the skill set he doesn't much care what you think about it. They're planning on writing their own operating system when they get a little older. I think they even have a name for their company. I have no idea what they were looking at on the computer when I took this picture, but this is a wonderfully accurate portrayal of our grandson's personalities. As an aside ... When I was titling this, I remembered I'd already used "Rapt" before. I went back and found that post from 2010, and was amazed at how similar the facial expressions are! Rapt .......... I haven't been able to scrape up the time and/or energy to be on Renderosity much this week. It seems like there's always something going on out here in real-life land. I would tell you I've been looking but not commenting, but honestly, I haven't even been looking. We got back from our trip to Louisiana on Monday, but with Thanksgiving and everything, life hasn't settled down yet. We'll see how it goes. I might be taking a break and didn't realize it! ;P

I went back to the previous Rapt and found that I was the first to comment there. the same applies to these two young lads - pre-drool stage. Excellent capture, Tara!

ps you might want to see if you can get 512bit encryption for your stuff - I think they'll be able to hack 256bit without too much trouble

They're definitely tuned into whatever was happening onscreen at the time. They're very cute future technogeeks or hackers or entrepreneurs or ? & you caught them in a very candid pose...

LOL! I knew from the thumbnail they were watching their computer. That pose it typical for that. WOW! They have really grown fast, or... is it just me? :-/ Great double portrait, Tara :) Yes, take care of these nerds. They can take over the world :) Once, I let Noa sometimes use my tablet, but I am done with that, as I got billions of crazy searching subjects, Such as 100 ways you can braid your hair or paint your nails, which is not of my interests, my thin hair is not big or long enough for such things... and you cant just delete them, without deleting all you have been searching for. Not to mention all the new crazy games she installed. 👎

very sweet and captivating capture of two beautiful children, enrapt in a computer. Softly and sensitively done, and cropped perfectly, Tara. A beautiful quiet moment captured beautifully by you, for us...

Sweet shots of these two; love their expressions, so eerily the same but clearly two different people. Twins are fascinating! Sometimes breaks are necessary, so if you're having one enjoy it!

They are obviously a handful but very bright and need to practice on someone, and you are no soft touch ? but then again, they are not so much different from other nerdy geeks around the country I know ... BTW - the only way I could tell them apart, is the haircut - one had one recently and the other not ;))

Maybe they should apply for a position here @ Rendo, to improve whatever ails us here ! On the whole it's not too bad, with the help from my geeky son, [who is much older] - and I still find it difficult sometimes remembering, or figuring out how to do the most basic things ... but, I'm getting better by asking a lot of questions! LOL

Do not worry or fret about being absent from Renderosity - happens to me all the time ... there is always other 'stuff' that needs priority - like right 'NOW' ... LOL, I am still following your journeys, as much as I can - but seldom comment, sorry about that, take care and and get a ZEN moment or two ☺

Cheers BB

Sounds like they are going to be millionaires before they graduate from high school. An adorable candid image. Watch out girls. As for your first Rapt, I am constantly being surprised at how fast time flies. I noted the date on the image, March 2010. I believe you were single back then. It doesn't seem like five years.

Amazing.... when I first saw the thumbnail, I thought one was a reflection in a mirror! Great shot of your grand-kiddos, Tara!

A wonderful capture of your grandsons and how delightful they sound to be, they certainly look to be very absorbed here. They sound to be really up with computers too and I guess it keeps you on your toes to keep ahead of their computer ability. The amount of new things coming onto the market is a bit daunting and it is going to be hard to keep up. 😄

My kind of photography Tara. Natural and not posed. It looks good in B&W. The commentary is hilarious, don't they make you feel old?
