Description

By way of comparison here's our lovely G4 again, this time rendered in PP-2014, Firefly. The floor she's standing on is the one that caused P-11 to crash every time I tried to place it in the scene. The only postwork I did to this was to add G4's necklace, and give it a little specular sparkle. Everything else is right out of the Firefly render oven. The TNA pendant is a prop I created in Photoshop, and exported as a Collada file. The wall prop is the same, I just changed the picture (yes, that's Alice). The lights are pretty much the same – a key light (spotlight) to G4's left, a fill (infinite light) to her front, and a hair light (spot set to inverse square) above, behind, and a little to her right. Oh, yes... G4 wanted to wear a little something (emphasis on 'little') different for this shoot.... It kinda went like this: “OK, G4, let's do a comparison shoot...” “You got it! I've been dying to try out this swimsuit! I've had it for a while, and haven't had a chance to wear it!” “You mean ALMOST wear it?” “Yeaaahhh, you love it and you know it!” (giggles) “Besides, some of my fans wanted to see my other tattoo.” “You are such a tease, Gee...” “When you got it, flaunt it!!” (more giggles) “Are you cold, G4??” “Nope! Just having fun!” (blows kiss to all her fans) “Sigh.... The things I go through for art.....” Thanks for dropping by, and for all your wonderful comments (but don't encourage her too much...) “I heard that.....”

The skin tones do look better here. I'm sure you will figure out the new render setup and make even more spectacular images in the near future. But for now, she will do VERY nicely!!

Great little story and a fashionable pose. I see you made a T.N.A. necklace like I use. Love it. Hot body and tiny kini, gotta love that. Thanks for sharing, Rod..

"Oh! Is she flirting me? Or just trying to make me hungry so she can boast of being eaten by me!" - T.Rex. After being eaten by him, who can boast about it?

I love the dialogue in this. She seems so "innocent" until we see her in action! At least the string-kini won't hinder her movement! Thanks for the post! Looking forward to more. Glad I didn't kill my wallet for Poser 11! I've read several who have problems with the Superfly renderer. Maybe time to get a super fly swatter! Keep up the good work! :-)

some friends told me I’d missed a few uploads (blasted notifications!), so I looked back, and sure enough, I didn’t comment on this. Sorry! Well first, I’ve noticed that a lot of your model work is both serious model work, mixed with pinup model work, mixed with a comic and playful touch. And the comic/playful part is far less common (at least in my experiences in the 3D galleries) than not. And I’ve always loved that about your work. Your model here is expertly done, ie, posed, lit, colored, etc., and what little there is of her bathing suit is handled with expertise. I mean, I assume there is real thought and skill in draping clothing in just the way you want, putting shadow and wrinkles where you want, and so on. And her face looks at us while she’s turning---a real greeting pose, with nuance. I think Poser poses similar challenges to studio portrait work (in photography). I mean composition-wise, etc. (Obviously, in the photo studio, you aren't creating your models from digital scratch.) I also like your background, which is no surprise...the woman in back, blurred but clear enough to be discernible, and looking at us. And the semblance of windows, clock I think or maybe a table setting on display, plants, etc. And these front and back worlds are in harmony with each other. I don’t know anything about the problems you’ve had/solved with the software, I can only relate via similar problems in other programs. (When ProTools got huge in scope---for sound engineering---oh man. Don't ask...) But you’ve managed to overcome them in your imagery, nevertheless. Very well done, and, as always, with your usual touch of humor and play that makes your work so much fun. (Not to mention the easter eggs you put into some images. I look very closely, believe me!) This hasn’t been a good fall for all of you in Poser: First RR’s change, and then Poser’s. The 3D gods haven’t been kind to all of you. I hope it gets easier soon...

The SSS looks a lot better on this one. Not sure what-all you did, but I can see how much warmer and more "real" (if you can call it that in 3D!) this looks. Good stuff, Darlin'! :)

G4 looks simply stunning. Your lighting and reflections look great, her skin-tone is soft and warm with just the right amount of sheen, the DOF adds a nice effect... ... and here I am, checking out your little logo in the corner. Lol. Sometimes... even I don't get me. Beautiful work. (in spite of the Super-fly issue.)
