Description

"Unreal city, Under the brown fog of a winter dawn..." (T.S. Eliot, The Wasteland) a bit messy, but I liked the strangeness of it. (Much better zoomed) ---------------------------------------------

Really beautiful. Shots like this aren't that easy to capture because the light changes so quickly at that time of day.

You are very, very super behind the lens. Your shots just capture perfect moments in history. Looks like someone is waiting for the bus, love the star wars poster also in the bus stop. Killer night photo my friend.

OUW! You did it again. You used these settings again, that I love so much. Makes the whole picture look super clear and beautiful and the sepia adds to it. Love it. I just love it.

So amazingly lovely; hyper-real and surreal at the same time. I love it!

Fabuloso! A triumph, Mark! The sepia is perfect for this, and the clarity astounding!

This nice darkish image lends credence to the fact that you must really like these near sepia style settings, which you present in many of your urban Chicago photos. This one creates a lot of depth with the quasi silhouetting and repetitious light fixtures as they retreat into the distance. And, I came in ahead of UteBigSmile and flavia49 again. Must be my lucky day.

It does have a wonderful mystical feel to it. The slight fog, the sole figure in the bus stop, no other fugues to be seen... And the brown/sepia tone really fits the mood of this perfectly, Mark. I like it! And the photographic 'cherry on top' is the Star Wars poster in the bus stop - what a delight!

Your cityscapes are always so different---I never know what to expect. This one is full of all kinds of things, but I think for me, it's the person in the bus stop. He or she seems to alone, yet there's this huge, bustling city all around. Another great foto!!

I think you are capturing emotions more than just a picture. Here is the city just opening it's sleepy eyes, soon this moment will lift and the city will rise and begin it's day. But, here at this moment is that sense that you could wake, or just close your eyes again and drift back into night.

A lovely trio of city images today - I like this one the best - the lights, contrasts, and sepia toning are just wonderful!

Oh yeah, this is the stuff Mark! A wonderful almost desolate image. Overcast, fog on the ground, a solitary figure perhaps the last human left in Chicago. And all of it enhanced by the perfect use of a sepia tone.
