A nice contrast - don't you think? The background is part of the Kamchatka peninsula garnered from a much larger satellite photo and mapped to a plane.

totally awesome mate...good choice,tho i'd have been tempted to turn the pic into a greyscale and do an applique ,then paste the pic on...but that's me...lol...great work on th plane,fantastic texture job....you the man

Thanks for the complements everyone. Bobby, I don't think the applique method of creating the earth plane would work since the shadows in the picture would all become depressions. Dick, the exhaust was done by hand and by filters in Photoshop 6.
