Description

This incredible vehicle is called an ekranoplane and exists in Russia. It is an airplane designed to fly 3-6 meters above the water and utilizes the WIG (wing in ground) effect. It has wheels and can dock on land. It is used as a troop/equipment transport. The red openings in the nose are for a couple of large turbofans. This rendering is my first use of area lighting and was made up using (gasp!) several layers. I wanted to acheive a cloudy day, sinister effect. The back-ground is essentially from Terragen.
