Description

In a city park pond full of ducks and geese, these mallard found a quiet inlet on one end of the pond for their leisurely 'stroll'. Will zoom. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

Absolutely stunning. The clarity is perfect, and the composition is most pleasing. Intimate and quiet.

Un havre de paix, tout comme une ballade dominicale pour ces badauds/canards dans le jardin aquatique,

The leaves and stems of the aquatic plants and the reflections give the ducks a good camouflage. A fantastic photo, the colors and the light in perfect harmony.

This is a delightful scene, Maria! I wonder if those two drakes are each planning how to shake off the other!!

Re "will zoom," everything of yours zooms, it always shows the depth and subtlety of your eye; and this blooms like a little pond carnival. Your pov makes these leaves look like plants out for a gentle stroll, all wearing fashionable tilting hats. The contrasts between the leaves and the brighter stems is wonderful, both in hue and in shape. And with all those upright stems, it looks like streamers coming down to grace the ducks. The water is sterling, and the ducks have your usual clarity and grace, always present in your bird photography. I agree with all the praises above...masterful and delicate and just glorious.

Oh my, Maria, this really looks like a sublime water painting. It shows so much life with all those big leaves, in all their different heights. As a protective world around this beautiful ducks. A most beautiful picture, my friend..

A nice shot of the pond, with its waterfowl, captured through the cool curtain of stems and petals, Maria.
