Description

took in a truck stop car museum on I40 at the Texas New Mexico state lines not composed well, but difficult to get an ideal angle because of so many cars in a small space

oh man, I know you had difficulty getting a pov (because of the cars, etc), but, in zoom, this piece is almost a hallucination, the bend and tilt of the image is just how those juke boxes would probably like to be seen! I really like the distortion...because, mixed with your clarity and vivid hues, it's like a vivid time-twisted flashback, with great details. And the way the image juts back on the right---that area just recedes out of nowhere to god-knows-where, adding to the skewed space...I love this. (And you seem to be looking 'down' too: But the machines erase that sense by jutting forward to you. You really played with perspectives here. It's an optical fair ground...)

A beautiful shot of the juke boxes! Between these and pinball machines, I spent a fortune in my youth.

What great memories! I used to love to put a bit of change into one of these, just to watch the mechanism inside do its thing. The music was the cherry on top!

Wonderful bit of nostalgia, Richard.
