wow---back to your amazingly detailed surreal biological imagery. You have so much detail here, and you must have gotten images that have the muscle groups of the face on them: "Parotideomasseteric fascia"??? There's a term ya don't get to use enough! (You know where I learned these inexcusable terms? From Gray's Anatomy---the book, not the tv show!---and other similar books which were required to study figure drawing "in depth". I don't remember any terms, but when I see these---oh, the memories! We were artists studying in medical classes, an experience I don't want to repeat! ((The med students wanted to kick us out, and the profs had no patience for us either---and I can't say I blamed them.))) But you have your usual wild detail here; and the middle face has both frontal and side view (a touch of Picasso), and all three have frontal eyes, even though two of them are profiles. And some Egyptian eyes too: Maybe they're all Egyptian eyes. And the breakdown of the neck and head on the left and middle is almost like machine parts. And all against black, as if these were on display in a university library...You do combinations of academic, historical, artistic and scientific imagery seamlessly. And old academic too, as if we're looking at anatomy texts from 1880. Images like this remind us, all over again, just how wide-array an artist you are. Marvelous, Mandi. And it's with your usual humor (the brain in an eye socket, that Egyptian eye on the right with an exposed brain, etc.) Terrific image.
