windows movie maker? so you used a movie program, I assume for its filters...I'd have never guessed you used a movie program simply because I'd never think of it myself. Yes, Jeff said you've been etched in marble; you've also been taken over by an army of microorganisms; or you're being seen through a screen that maps the heat and cold portions of the scene. A fascinating abstract of patterns and coagulations; and we can see your form in there, but just enough to suggest your presence yet abstract enough to be a study of line, form and contour. (Or a comment upon it.) It's complex and beautiful, Mandi, and you're one of the few people here who would do this and call it a self-portrait; I love that you posted this version of yourself. I remember, for a while, that you had your face as your avatar (I assume that was your face), so some of us know what your face looks like; I tried to find that expression here, but I could only find it a wee bit. The gentle smile and kind eyes are taken over by squiggle-dom. But I always used to say that portraiture is ultimately from within, so maybe this is you in a moment of deep contemplation, where you're slowly melding into the universe. Beautiful. And the small palette of hues makes it all the more compelling. (I hope people zoomed. Your work is far too detailed to be seen small size.)
