Description

The 8th of December is a day, simply not hard to forget, (for us in OZ anyway, IOW - in your future! - a day later) because it's my son Jeff's Birthday, happy to say so, but it was also a sad day, when John Lennon was innocently gunned down. (I wonder, whether the American gun laws will ever change ???) .. Anyway let's say a 'Happy Cheers' to Jeff for today - YAY ;)) There will be plenty of Cheesecake to go around and you are all invited ... if you make it on time ;) remember, we are ahead of you ! I captured this shot of him in the swimming-pool, with the pool cover still halfway on - and he is trying out his best imitation of 'The Rock' - and Jeff being forever the clown ... (for those unfamiliar with 'The Rock' - it is Dwayne Johnson from WWE, a wrestler!) Cheers to all Brigitte ;))

AWESOME ! thanks Mum, very cool photo-tweaking, I look like a cross between the Hulk and the Rock...the Hulk Rock ? the Rock Hulk ? or just another swimming pool fiend ?...LOL

Do I feel older ? nope, still feel young and after having an Ant invasion last night (they must have smelled my cake) now I have lots and lots of friends !....well, dead ones ! LOL x 2

A super capture for Jeff's big day and what a great tweak you have given him. I have plenty of time to get over for some cheesecake which I am sure I will enjoy. I guess Jeff has probably finished it by now though when I look at the time. I hope you both have a lovely day.

I had no knowledge what a 'jabroni' was ? - aha, now I know !!!

jabroni (n.) Look up jabroni at Dictionary.com c. 2000, professional wrestling slang for one whose main purpose is to make the better-known wrestlers of the organization look good; he or she does this by losing to them. More commonly known as a jobber (though some enthusiasts claim there is a difference), and perhaps a mock-Italianized form of that word (but compare jaboney "naive person, immigrant, hoodlum," of unknown origin, American English, in use c. 1990). Jobber -- A performer who regularly loses on television and doesn't receive much if any push. A comparable term for such a performer is jabroni, which is a favorite catch-phrase of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. To soften the blow of such labels, some wrestling promotions refer to jobbers as enhancement talent.

Great picture! Happy birthday to Jeff. He does look a bit like the Rock.

If the American gun laws do change, I certainly hope it's in the direction of making it easier rather than harder for people to have the means to defend themselves. Every single time a new restriction is imposed the murder rate goes up a little, and the rates of rape and robbery both go up a lot. That happened in Great Britain and Australia as well, unfortunately.

Happy birthday Jeff, from me as well! Esp as he's been working so hard of late. It's a great pose, like he's giving a major warning to all enemies; or doing an ancient curse on all enemies. (or just being a ham, lol.) And, in your usual creative fashion, you've turned it into a wholly other shot, as if her were a statue made of steel, with all kinds of neon light on him. And that eerie neon-green glow all around him. You've transformed a swimming pool into a new strange place, with his angle harmonizing the angle of the pool-cover. More creative work from you---I love what you did with this. And happy birthday, Jeff! Sorry about the ant invasion, but I hope you had a great day, and many more great birthdays to come! (And wouldn't it be nice if Nancy actually could come to visit? In the northern hemisphere, we tend to lump everything south of the equator into one big 'lump', because we're cretins up here, lol. But I think she's a pretty far distance from where you guys live! It's great to see her back, though, and gracing Jeff's birthday.) Terrific dedi.

Ha ha, Jeff is fluorescent, and definitely impressive with its intriguing attitude. At first I thought he was practising a kind of kung fu. Certainly Jeff impresses here in a sensational way, I suspect it's the intro for his birthday party. From Karel and me, the very best wishes, much happiness, and please, keep making jokes, Jeff.
