Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

yes, with the above, my condolences once more. From what you shared, this had to be a difficult and painful week. When you get home tomorrow, you'll be able to start absorbing it all, and move to a kind of peace and acceptance; and I hope the same happens with everyone else (esp her immediate family). The image is pure Marilyn, those three pillars are bold and monumental, with that "marilyn" ocean behind with all its gorgeous light. And I think I see a surfer or two, at least swimmers. In light of your loss, the pillars are almost tall gods, standing in honor of your passed sister-in-law, with golden hope behind them. Beautifully shot, and a beautiful image for remembrance. I wish you peace with this, and the same for your family...
