Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Brilliant image, Marilyn. You caught the sea and sky and the figure in silhouette perfectly.

Gorgeous! What a great idea for a burial!

yes, a brilliant shot, Marilyn, his silhouette is beautiful against that blasting sky and deep golden water. It's fitting in the wake of your sister-in-law's passing. I owe you a letter, for whose absence I apologize; and I'm very sorry for your loss, and for all you all had to go through. Also, the idea of her burial is quite poetic: I hope they can do it the way they want. Again, I'm sorry for your loss, and hope you got to rest when you got back home, and that all is going well for you and for Marcos, this holiday season. A beautiful upload, and a wonderful holiday to you Marilyn!

this brings to mind of David Carradine in Kung Fu as a Shaolin peace-loving monk, Kwai Chang Caine. outstanding seascape/sky

Beautiful capture! I wonder if he would play something for your Sister-in-law's memorial?

I'm sorry for your loss, but what a great idea to become part of a reef.
