My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Well, Tara, you messed it up for me. I was going to say I couldn't see Claude anywhere. Oh well, as we say in Northern Mexico (Los Angeles), es la vida (that's life). And you are correct, this image literally glows. A gorgeous capture. I love how the light creates patterns on the leaves.

yeah, I don't see claude here either (ala Mark). And lol @ your description. (I'd hope claude would be more active than this. If you see him arms out, facing the sun, and not moving for hours, you might wanna call for some help...) Intimate and deep capture of a leaf from its underside, with big beautiful veins and those wonderful yellow patches from the sun. The leaves in back fill up the shot, and make this an intimate glimpse into a leaf-gathering. To a tiny creature, this is a deep peaceful forest, and we become that tiny creature, in your shot. Beautiful work and penetrating closeup. And your closeup captures a few different cross angles too...

Well, I have been known to get potted & then vegetate...
This has a very lush, painterly quality to it & i love the way you cropped it...

Very cool capture. All the colors and intricacy of the leaf is shown so clearly.

An amazingly lovely POV, these leaves are a sight to behold from any angle, but from here with that lighting they are magical. Well done you!

Beautiful capture Tara. I like the lighting very much.

Sure the sunlight brings so much life to the leaves, as if they are painted by it (haha, or painted by Claude) Such great you two could met each other!!!

Oh, this is just great; love the light and the glow. I don't see Claude either, but it wouldn't matter if I did, since I don't know him or know what he looks like!! lol
