Description

This is for Carol romanceworks. I became friends with Carol a few years back. She popped into my gallery, and was so intuitive about my attempts (I had just begun posting), I thought she'd known me for years. She hadn't...but that's one of Carol's great talents. She's been an artist for years, including years of professional work; and when she looks into your work, she Sees. I hadn't done art for years, and while I got floods of support from the 2D Forum, Carol appeared from another world---Mixed Media, which, to me, was a 'foreign land'---and she was incredibly kind and supportive. So I started looking at her work... What hit me most was the enormous passion of her work. It was oceanic. She paints animals, flowers, trees, humans, landscapes...But when you look deeply, she puts powers into those paintings that turn them into cosmic revelations. She's got stellar cataclysms inside, as well as the surges inside the cell and even the atom. When I've sat with her art awhile, I thought I was looking through the Hubble Telescope; and she'll apply the same energies to the center of a flower. Her strokes become cosmic...star-stuff, inner-sanctum stuff. And getting to know Carol, I've seen she truly feels these things: So while she's masterful with lions, birds, flowers, etc, she paints what's inside them, glimpses into the inner cosmos...And she lets her eye and heart guide her: That is, she's painted long enough to know that we're not the 'commanders', we're the listeners: We listen to our insides. She was left suddenly, some years back, when her husband died. She re-made her life since then. If there's any testament to how art heals, she's it. She developed her own effulgent passionate vision, built her business, did her own marketing, and turns out work at a pace that would leave me dizzy. And she's a deeply caring, committed, and always connected soul, which I assume she's like with everyone she loves; and I'm honored to be her friend. And, despite the emptying she feels after each painting, she lets them go as if freeing a bird to the winds, where it will go where life will take it...Her acceptance of these things is truly moving, and wise. Happy Birthday, Carol! You've been a dear and blessed friend, and a fountain of inspiration. I wish you many, many years of elation, visions and joy, and send love and blessings to you, and the wish that the heaven in you (which is deep) will guide and protect you, and always take you to the feet of the most bountiful stars, Mark Another huge image ('panels of inner space'): Please zoom all the way... ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Effulgent...still another word to add to my phraseology. And what a mosaic of tiles you have presented us with, Mark, with its stunning variety of mellifluous colors and shapes to boggle the mind. Great BD dedication.

Mark, I'm sorry to come late to this wonderful image and dedication. Christmas with my family has been very busy, but fun in California. Thank you so very much for this beautiful art, and dedication. And thanks to all the others who have commented, as well. This art is filled with a Universe of color, texture, and Chakric energies. I just love it! Like you, it is a wonderland of layers, the deeper you go the more you see.. This special image, and dedication, touches me deeply. Honestly, I've never known anyone with your awareness and your depth, and I am so grateful we have become friends on this creative journey through life. In your art, your words, your knowledge, your love for people, you give not only from your heart, but right down to your soul. And your giving is limitless. What a gift you share with me and so many. I did lose my beloved soul mate nine years ago, but I can tell you because of our friendship, our caring, I don't feel alone in this vast cosmos anymore. You inspire me to not only find the joy and meaning in my art, but in everything. Thanks so much, Mark, for honoring me with the Universe of light and love you give in so many ways. And I wish you a cosmically creative New Year.
