Description
There are two adjacent blocks in our neighborhood on which everyone on those blocks goes all out to put up the most elaborate Christmas light displays. They've been doing this for many years & starting a couple of weeks before Christmas, there are endless parades of cars driving by to check them out (which meant I had to be patient to get this shot without cars in front of the lights). It's all for a good cause, as one of the blocks collects toys to give out to needy families & the other collects food for our local food banks...

Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

I have issues with cars coming through when I'm doing long exposure shots too, but with the multi-second exposure usually all I get on the shots is a light trail from their taillights (unless they decide to stop in front of me and look at the lights; it's amazing how many people don't see me when I'm standing by my tripod shooting!) I love this golden glow you've captured. Don't you love these big multi-home displays?

I was going to make a snide remark about the display, but when I read that they were collecting toys and food I backed off
Great capture

I really like the isolation of the light-hues here, how they're so bold and then the rest is deep black. You've turned this into a light painting, with total black everywhere else. Striking work, Claude, letting the curve of the driveway really stand out. A very bold and radiant approach to Christmas lights. And if I didn't say it so far, I hope your holiday season has been sweet and loving to both you and Arlene, and the rest of your family.
