Description

There are people who are like sharks, devouring everything without bothering to leave to others the need to survive. Eventually the death of the other will be the reason of his own extinction. This Christmas I wish to sharks to take conscience of the importance of the other.

Very good and thought provoking. It as is if you are a philosopher who uses art to inject ideas into the world... sort of a thought process catalyst. In thinking of the sharks (ocean type) I think that mankind is more harmful to the planet and other species, than are the sharks.

An excellent work of art with words of truth, my friend! Sadly, these sharks thought processes are badly flawed and short-sighted.

Great piece of surrealism as usual! Love the idea of turning things upside down etc and the cool metallic chrome body of the shark contrasting the muddy bottom dwelllers!! Very clever!

These rock-like fish---these fish made of stone---are brilliant, Giuliano. Because they suggest that we have all become like these fish, in a world where sharks dominate. They turn us into stone. And you've created marvelous textures on the fish---marvelously complex and "layered" textures. They look as if they were made from slabs of clay, laid on top of each other. Beautifully done.

Great image and statement. I think a more accurate depiction might show a bloated human, corporate politician floating above sharks and other fish.

I just think it's time to stop demonizing the shark. Corporate and political blowhards give sharks a bad name. The shark has survived for over 300 million years. It wasn't until the last 100 years that sharks started to disappear. The shark only takes what it needs despite how "Jaws" and other dramas portray it. I don't blame you. I blame years of culture falsely taught.

I understand the symbolism but don't agree with the shark being maligned. Other than man I no of no animal that takes more than is needed to survive.

I adore Sharks like animals, I think that they are perfect and wonderful otherwise not came from remote times. I have only used an human usual symbolism to represent the concept of greed which is a feature of this beautiful creature. Thanks you to give me the opportunity to well explain this question !

Symbolic of those sharks on Wall St. and everywhere else, promising that no one gets hurt - then they suck all the water out of living things and until there is nothing left to survive on... typical - haven't they learned anything ? Brilliant representation Giuliano, Cheers my friend and a Happy New Year to you !
