While reading it, I noticed that the second sentence starts with "It’s been spelt down the years in many different ways", which at first I thought was a ridiculous spelling error for the word "spelled" for a site that purported to have expertise on language. But then I questioned myself, looked it up & found that in British & Australian English, "spelt" is perfectly acceptable...

this is a beautiful composition

This lovely artwork has a midnight romantic feel, with the deep restful blues, glowing moons, and flowers. The flowers remind me of the fragrant moonflower, that blooms in the glow of a full moon and closes up with the dawn. Many artists come to life at night with their work. I often bloom through the night and close up at dawn. :o) And with the New Year coming at midnight, this seems a very appropriate image. Hope you have a blooming great year, Mark, filled with love and the light of not just one but three moons lighting your creative path.
