A wonderful self-portrait, Nikolay, you are there in body, but also in light and spirit...you seem to fade into the world behind you and still emerge out of it...I love the background: The canvas, in your handling of it, looks like wall art, like some terrific graffiti; it's as if you stopped by, saw this on a building, sat down, and got your picture taken...wonderful melding of worlds. It's always a treat when you post, Nikolay, and this is a mysterious and beautiful portrait for the new year...emerging out and emerging in, a portrait of the 'threshold' place, where past and future mingle...Beautiful and mysterious, as always.

She is all in B&W on the canvas and you are in the palest of colours and she is just about to kiss you on the forehead... no doubt, to wish you: "All the Best for 2016" - how very sweet and caring of her and I concur with those sentiments Nikolay
