Description
Taken on a side street in Bratislava. No apparent effort has been made to repair the damage that the passage of time has inflicted on this wall. Some may find this hideous & unappealing, but I'm fascinated by the richness of the abstract patterns, textures & colors on display here...

So many different textures, that looks really interesting. An excellent shot, the details are outstanding!

I'm with you, I absolutely love all the patterns and the textures of the varying decay. What a wonderful find!

Oh man. What a find! It's a treasure-trove of layers and textures, history and architecture and materials and methods. I liked the composition from across the room, but the details are the chewy center inside. Fantastic image!

Very cool, I find myself being drawn into this scene....

When I was a yogi, and I did service, I spoke with a woman from Russia who was in WWII, and she described the cities of Europe right after the war. She said it was like the war had stripped every building of its facade so that you saw everything builders used---the bricks, the plaster, the stones, the mortar, the paint...and it was all exposed in varying distributions, as if some avant garde artist had come to Europe and redone the whole continent as a modernist sculpture...This reminds me of her words, even though this isn't from war. Terrific detail and contrast, and a few deep dark caverns to give depth to the heavy frontal feel of it. You cropped it in a great spot to catch the multiple faces of this facade. I love it.

This image has so much going on, it's hard to stay focused on one spot for too long...
