Description
All things come to an end. And so, after three days, it was time to say goodbye to Havana. But not to Cuba. The next morning we would travel south into the interior.
If you are interested in seeing a little more of Havana, those wonderful old cars and hearing some contemporary Cuban music, I have included a link to a video by the group Gente De Zona. Their song 'La Gozadera' features Marc Anthony (yes, THAT Marc Anthony). The lyrics speak of Latino culture and how it is a hybrid containing the best of every country from Miami to Buenos Aires. But in the end they are one people.
By the way, if you can listen to this song without at least taping your foot to the beat you should see your doctor. You might be dead.

I watched the video when you posted this, and yes, it's stirring and makes you want to get up and dance. And the visuals are well done too. (They layer rhythms on top of each other, in Latin American music of this sort, and it creates a tumultuous wave. It's a tumultuous, cumulative style; and when you play it, with large ensemble? You feel like you're taken aloft by many winds, and you go with the flow and it's exhilarating.) Sorry to see the Havana series come to an end, but I'm thrilled there will be more of Cuba, and look forward to it all. Your shot is perfect for the end of this part of the series: The city is sunken in shadows, and that sky is gorgeous. Great way to end this part of your online chronicle for us...
