here is the refer photo I used . Yes it a little wash out in the sun light but to show what i working with . I may have posted this but it was years ago.

I wanted to comment on this before I commented on the painting (which I loved, btw). Yeah, the light's a bit intense, but it doesn't matter: The drummer is in deep shadow, and he makes a great silhouette against that bright street. And you got great light inside his drum. And wonderful light on the other musician's trombone. The crutches are a nice 'counterpoint' to the lines of the bench. And there's much interest and beauty on the street behind the musicians. A full and fascinating photo, Jock, filled with strong contrasts. Now I'll comment on the painting...
