Just back for the weekend...I've begun commenting.
But please understand that I can't comment on everything I missed: It's only because of time.
But I promise to get to you all.

I love what you've done here! Some of the Fae in the Valley have vision like this so they'd feel very comfortable seeing your city like this.
Great work

Feels like a tale from the darkside bro. Love your photo manip effects. Great to see you posting. Have a super weekend.

Oh, a marvelous display of pareidolia, in this stunning image of Lake Michigan and its ancillary isthmuses, Mark, contrasted against the iconic skyline of Chicago. I see all kinds of recognizable figures wallowing about in the water. Wonderful capture and postwork. Oh, and welcome back to one of your favorite haunts.

Expressive realization very well composed and interesting manipulation tho give to the man's building the sense of not natural thing !!

"This is just a manipulation."
LOL, you have such a great sense of humor.
Much more than just a manipulation. You've turned Chicago into a scene from a science fiction story, a thing of fantasy. And there is definitely something in the water, malignant or benign I don't know. Will have to read the book to find out.

Mark stole my line! What DO you mean, JUST a manip? I waste lots of time doing manipulations ! This is terrific!

Fantastic manipulation and fabulous result Mark... It's an awesome image my friend !!!

Very creative variation on an iconic skyline, Mark. It seems kind of sinister & I think (to me) it's because it seems like an illustration of the scandal that has occurred in Flint, Michigan where toxic levels of lead were introduced into their water supply when the state negligently & incompetently switched their water source from the Great Lakes to a local river. I know Flint doesn't have this kind of a skyline, but this water looks contaminated to me & the blackness just adds to the dark mood that caused me to make that mental association...

Very nice manipulation Mark. Have a nice weekend my friend.

I like the high contrast in this and the colors. The marbleized effect gives it a very contemporary feel, turning this photo into a very artsy work. I think it would look quite wonderful framed and on display in one of those high rise offices.

This gives your city a whole new look. A very cool digital finish that gives the water a very mystical look and the city scape a look of sci-fi beauty. Great to see a posting from you and I hope you enjoy your weekend.

What a lovely view of Chi-town, Mark! I love the blue hues - it seems almost as if we're looking through a dream. I love it!
Good to see you back if only for the weekend, my friend! Thanks for the great (as always) comments, buddy!

This is right up my alley, and without sounding too cheesy - it's a marble-lous image (didn't quite know how to spell that, and spellcheck doesn't like it at all !)
I think it's more like a big ocean swell, building up to a huge crescendo and then come crashing down and gobble up Chicago - which then might disappear and sink, like Atlantis ... sorry Mark, I was dreaming again and I hope that this never, ever happens - (because where would we be here at RR, without your marble-ous art and comments) but only when you see and study the ocean long enough, can you actually see the water/waves churning, like in a big cauldron and when the strong southerlies blowing in from Tasmania. It was like a split-second reminder, when I used to take photos off Jeff, when he and his friends used to go surfing, but that was a few years ago... and I love those ocean colours, they are just perfect !
Cheers BB - enjoy your weekend break...

seems the lake is frozen solid along with the city. makes me think of the movie "Snow piercers". very cool post work
Wolfenshire
The city textures are the same as the lake, as if the city rose up from the lake and are part of it. Very cool work.

Elle pourrait se nommer la cité glacée bordée une mer bleu-pétrole où des poissons-chimères y nagent ! Remerciements pour votre contribution et commentaires. It could be called ice cited a blue-oil sea where fish-chimeras swim there ! Thanks for your contribution and feedback.

marbleized and frozen. this is cool, like a dream or a vision that holds lots of mystery. part of me wants to explore the city and part of me says, 'no way!' :) good work, I like it!
MrsRatbag
The frozen lake has slowly begun to absorb the cityscape, and it's all become ice to the core; bet that's how it feels sometimes too! What a beautifully stylized photo of the city, with your own masterful touch...nicely done, Mark!
