Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Looks like your average commute. Nicely framed. I love the color of the water.

These shouldn't be allowed on rivers, fine in the sea. Superb photo!

Nice capture though I agree with Andrea regarding where they should be allowed

Great action shot...

She looks really determined. Fine action shot, and the waves on the water follow her boat and its spray. And your crop gives us a nice long shoreline to match. The branches in front are a nice balance too. You got the rush of it all, and the beauty of that river to boot. A shot from someone who knows water and water sports really well. I love that woman's posture!

For those of you worried about the jet ski on the river, I must tell you that the Colorado is HUGE and there is plenty of room for all kinds of water fun. I've only been there once, but my sister goes all the time and there has never been an accident or any kind of trouble. People are very good about safety and the river is also patrolled by "river cops". Anyone who boats drunk or recklessly gets a worse fine than someone driving the same way.

Looks like she is very happy!
