Description
Taken in Vienna. What I tried to capture here was the interesting mixture of architectural styles. I always find juxtapositions of classical & modern buildings interesting & I also really liked the colorful geometric tile work on the roofs. which in a way bridges the gap between old & new...

I really like the architecture of the church, but that roof is really wild. better outside than inside

Absolutely stunning! I also love these juxtapositions in urban architecture, especially when the span of time is so great. You've composed this shot perfectly!

Love the contrast between the old and new, and the reflections. I have never seen a tile pattern like this on any church. Interesting! Oddly enough, I have never been to Vienna - hope to rectify this in the future!

I was just taking a minute to go back through your gallery a bit to start catching up on stuff I missed while I was away. I do not plan to try to comment on everything because of the massive amount of time it would take.......but this...wow I absolutely LOVE this. It is something I also find fascinating wwhen the old and new styles are side by side. This photo is just perfect!

perfectly composed and cropped, and with your usual pin-point clarity. Esp for a shot with as many grayish undertones (which normally dull-out a photo, but they don't here). The juxtapositions you love are wholly visible here. And it's fascinating how that patterned roof goes both behind and in front of those spire-like towers. And the reflection in the window makes the old-new juxtaposition all the more apparent. Beautifully done. And btw, if I didn't make it clear in my last comment, I loved the urban perspectives and clarity of your last shot. The intruding people weren't your doing, but you got a fine street shot regardless.
