Description
Hawkers dressed as Mozart could be found on many street corners in Vienna, trying to entice tourists into buying concert tickets. A music program in a Viennese concert hall was included as part of our cruise package & it was very entertaining. It was kind of a smorgasbord performed by a young group of musicians (mostly women) & included chamber music, opera & ballet segments. They performed with great enthusiasm & threw a little humor into the mix as well...

Beethoven lived in Vienna, but he was totally German. But Mozart---ay, ay, ay, he was Viennese to the core (and heavenly). I can understand why they use his likeness in all kinds of ways. (He had huge Italian influence, but his music was so very Viennese, with musical-line straight out of the heavens...) A delightful shot, with mozart capturing the first glance due to his golden jacket and stark white stockings, etc. But the rest makes a fascinating street capture, esp with that great head of hair (the woman Denise pointed out) and that guy on the left. Architecturally, you're always sensitive to composition, as the image moves to the arch and then into the deeper distant city. It moves from close to far. And you got hour typical architectural detail as well. Even in the pedestal on the far left, you clarified texture and hue. Fine work Claude.
