So I wonder what's in the dish she's feeding the eagle from? Mouse liver pate? sushi? Excellent photograph, love the contrast and detail!

invariably when you post an original next to a postworked version, people will like one more than the other. I like them both equally though; this one has a dark patina that makes the statue feel intimate. The shadow on her makes her highlights much more sculptural. And the toned down hues of the wall help it not-intrude. I also like the hues, period; they have a restful feel. Strong basic pov for a statue, and leaving in the pedestal gives a real ground to the shot. And btw, ala Denise, I don't know what she's feeding the eagle, but the eagle seems to be saying "that's it? that's all I get? that's a pretty small plate, lady!" A fine facade-sculpture shot, with fine detail.
