The 'Sanbano' building on Coolangatta Beach is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious and latest residential offerings of South East Queensland, AUSTRALIA.

I really love those clean and wavy architectural slim-lines of this building, in fact every time I am going down to Coolangatta (or Cooly as we locals call it) to do some shopping, it's a must for me and opportunity, for finding a new angle to take another shot of it.
I know, it may not be to everyone's liking - but I am fascinated usually looking up and up and ... just can't get enough, until the next new building goes up, my guess !

Photo # 1 & 2 are self explanatory, what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) LOL
...but the last one, # 3 is a little dedication for our sick friend *TARA* and by now, hopefully on the mend; it couldn't have been much fun having to go hospital - but it's better to be sure of getting the right treatment. Apologies for running late dear Tara, but I had such a big workload as of late(in 30C heat), I am totally exhausted and stretched to the limits, my body is aching all over - but nothing that couldn't fix it with a good nights rest and a great cup of coffee and some leftover chocolates from Christmas [? ]... get well Tara and for the rest of you, who also like 'reflecting' pix, BTW - it's the foyer of Sanbano.

Yeah, Cooly is getting a bit upmarket these days, but almost 3 million for an apartment ? sheesh, all the locals will have to move into the caravan park ! LOL
Digging the depth in the reflections, but the wavy lines of the exterior really nail it for me !

Oh, what is this a spectacular photo series, I was totally impressed by your first, also because of the huge appearance of it, and because of the beautiful, plus artistic reflections in the lower windows. Yes, I can very well imagine that you always want to go to admire this unique "power-sample of luxury". Thank you for your story about it, dear Gitti. I didn't know that Tara is in the hospital, but I hope she will soon be completely fit again. Best wishes, both for Tara, as for those hard-working Brigitte in such high temperatures.

It really is a beautiful building isn't it and I love its sensuous lines. Great to see a lovely high rise that isn't a square box. These are the sort of buildings that some are putting up in Christchurch though they can't go so high, but at least they are using some imagination. Great captures too. We could do with some of your sunshine here as it is the wettest January we have ever had here. Have the fire on can you believe it.

The waves on the outside look amazing.
The cost of a studio suite is over a grand to rent in this part of the world.
With oil being so low, gas is cheaper than it has been for a very long time.
However it costs 8 dollars for a colliflower and 7 dollars for 3 small tomatoes .

all 3 shots are beauties, Brigitte. Your two facade shots are very sensitively done, you caught the whole presence of the front facade in the first shot, you showed us the longer vs the shorter section in the second (and how they play off of each other), and in this shot, you give us the multiple worlds and reflections of a foyer through the windows. Real clarity and presence; and yes, this type of architecture is beautiful and organic, and it breaks with the long tradition of 'boxy' facades that dominated architecture for so many centuries. Even cathedrals were 'boxy', in that they still had mostly flat exteriors (their "flying buttresses" excluded---the walls behind those buttresses were still mostly flat). Windows and statues may have broken up their exteriors, but the walls themselves were flat. But in the last century, we've seen a very curvy movement in architecture, wonderfully wavy, breaking the 'box', making organic "growing" exteriors. And using colors and textures to further the organic feel. And it makes for beautiful variations in the interiors too, with wavy walls and many angles through the windows (because of the in-and-out curves in the walls). You caught the wonderful flows in your first 2 shots, as well as the vivid hues. And a nice clear sky too.
In this shot we see the glassy, classy interior, with all those objects and forms crammed together in one view. And your wonderful reflections play with the forms inside, incl forms from across the street (terrific juxtapositions), people in the background, and those grape-cluster lights inside. I can see why this place is popular; and, from what you said above (in a response to Mike), they ain't cheap. They cost moolah! Bigtime!
A great subject for Tara, who loves architecture and who loves reflections in glass. This last shot is right up her alley. A fine image to coax her back to health. And there's no "too late" in encouraging someone to get healthy---you can do it anytime! I know you're in your summer, and 30C is hot (and I imagine it's humid too), and I'm sure Tara understood entirely. (She loved the the uploads, I can see.) A wonderful trio for her. I'm glad she's gotten much better since then!
So, you moving in? You can scrape up 2.7 mill, right? I mean, a couple days' work, right? Dip into the savings a little, go into the o'l piggy bank? What's a 2 or 3 mill??? (Lemme tell ya, for 2.7 million--Australian or American---they better sell me a freakin' continent, or I walk.) Beautiful architectural shots, and great to see more high rises in your gallery: Though you don't post them often, you have a real feel for them, as these shots show. A beautiful dedi for Tara.
